Top Row


The top row of your dash contains your "high-level" metrics, or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).


TOEFL Speaking Target

This refers to the score you aim to achieve in the Speaking section of the TOEFL iBT exam. It serves as a goal that you set for yourself based on your desired overall TOEFL score or the specific requirements of the educational institution or program you are applying to. Your TOEFL Speaking target is a goal score, out of 30. Having a clear target in mind helps you focus your preparation efforts, track your progress, and work towards achieving the desired level of speaking proficiency for your TOEFL exam. SpeechRater Target

This KPI refers to the desired or target score on the SpeechRater scale, which is auto-adjusted to match your scaled score on a scale of 0 to 30 #learnmore. The SpeechRater Target is an automated feature that aligns your SpeechRater score with the corresponding score on the TOEFL iBT 30-point scale. It helps you set a specific goal or target for your speaking performance based on the scaled score you aim to achieve. By tracking your progress towards the SpeechRater Target, you can gauge your improvement and work towards reaching your desired level of speaking proficiency as measured by SpeechRater.


TOEFL Speaking Score Now

This KPI refers to your current or most recent score in the Speaking section of the TOEFL iBT exam. It represents your performance in the Speaking tasks you have completed and provides an indication of your speaking proficiency at that point in time. The TOEFL Speaking Score Now helps you assess your current level of proficiency and can be used as a benchmark to track your progress over time. By monitoring your TOEFL Speaking Score Now, you can identify areas for improvement and tailor your study efforts to enhance your speaking skills in preparation for future exams or language proficiency requirements.


SpeechRater Score Now

This KPI refers to your current score as assessed by the SpeechRater system. It is an automated score that evaluates your TOEFL Speaking performance based on various speech dimensions such as fluency, vocabulary usage, delivery, and more. The SpeechRater Score Now provides you with an immediate assessment of your speaking ability at the present moment. By tracking your SpeechRater Score Now over time, you can monitor your progress, identify areas for improvement, and work towards enhancing your overall speaking skills.


Middle Row


The middle row of your dash contains your "mid-level" metrics, or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)


Average SpeechRater Scores (by question number)

These 4 KPIs provide an overall assessment of your performance across all four tasks of the TOEFL Speaking section. They calculate the average score you received from SpeechRater for each individual task, giving you an indication of your task-level speaking proficiency based on the automated scoring system and how close you are to your SpeechRater Target.


Bottom Row


The bottom row of your dash contains your "granular" metrics, or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).


Average Dimension Scores

These KPIs display the average percentile scores for each of the 12 dimensions assessed by SpeechRater. These 12 progress bars give you an overview of your performance in specific areas such as Speaking Rate, Discourse Coherence, Vocabulary Diversity, and more. The scores are norm-referenced, indicating how your performance compares to that of other test takers. These averages help you understand your strengths and areas for improvement across different dimensions of your speaking abilities. #learnmore
